Shanshan (Sherry) Wang has over five years of experience in healthcare economics and strategy consulting, with abundant experience in antitrust and competition matters, market research, policy analysis, and M&A due diligence. Ms. Wang supports clients in multiple sectors of the U.S. and international healthcare industry, including providers, payers, life sciences, lawyers, and government agencies.

At FTI Consulting’s Center for Healthcare Economics and Policy, Ms. Wang assists clients in the healthcare industry with various needs, including antitrust and competition matters, market research, policy analysis, and M&A due diligence. Ms. Wang has over 10 case experiences in examining the competitive effects of proposed healthcare industry mergers and acquisition and has provided economic analyses on antitrust litigations and market inquiries. Ms. Wang also has multiple case experience supporting clients filling Certificate of Needs (CON) or Certificate of Public Advantage (COPA) applications.

Additionally, Ms. Wang has abundant experience in healthcare-related strategy consulting and economic impact analysis. Ms. Wang has supported a State to advance its goal to become the national leader in PPE production and innovation by forecasting the demand for major PPE demand and estimated the economic impact of PPE-related investments. Ms. Wang has supported St. Jude Children’s Research  Hospital’s HPV Cancer Prevention Program by identifying the key policy factors influencing HPV vaccine coverage and assessing the cost savings associated with policy implementation. Ms. Wang has also supported product commercialization for various life sciences clients by quantifying the economic benefits of their new products. Ms. Wang has conducted commercial and financial due diligence for 5+ multi-million-dollar healthcare transactions.

Ms. Wang is highly skilled in providing population health analytics and has informed various clients and stakeholders on the issue of the economic impact of poor health and health inequality. Ms. Wang has supported the Center’s ongoing engagement with multiple city and regional stakeholders to assess the city/region’s health competitiveness and healthcare costs associated with healthcare utilizations and productivity loss. Ms. Wang co-authored the FTI article “Health & Economic Impact of COVID-19: Public-private partnership opportunities for health, equity &economic vitality.”
