Nadine K. Zawadzki, Ph.D.

Senior Director

Nadine K Zawadzki, PhD, MPH is a Senior Director and service leader in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) at FTI Consulting’s Center for Healthcare Economics and Policy, where she designs and executes economic evidence to quantify the value of life sciences innovations, driving access and positioning strategies across diverse therapeutic areas from oncology to rare diseases, and guiding policy-informed decisions in an era where demonstrating value is increasingly critical to commercial success.

Dr. Zawadzki is a health and pharmaceutical economist with broad experience in health economics research to support life sciences companies in quantifying value, shaping access strategy, and strengthening positioning. She leads the design and execution of high-impact HEOR and market access engagements—including evidence generation, economic modeling, payer reimbursement strategy, and provider-facing initiatives—for clients ranging from top global pharma to emerging biotech across therapeutic areas including oncology, hematology, cardiology, and rare diseases. Her work generates economic evidence aligned with payer requirements, including cost-effectiveness and cost-consequence models and budget impact analyses, while guiding clients through the evolving US reimbursement landscape. Recent projects include developing economic models to support Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) drug price negotiations with CMS; designing a structured analog framework for rare diseases with limited evidence; quantifying operational benefits and cost savings of dual-indication medications to healthcare practices; designing an incidence-to-prevalence model to size global market opportunity for a client’s pipeline asset.

Dr. Zawadzki actively publishes in peer-reviewed journals spanning health economics, outcomes research, policy, and clinical topics, including Value in Health, Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy, Current Medical Research and Opinion, and Medicine, among others. Her work contributes to ongoing discussions around value, access, and affordability, and is regularly featured at scientific conferences and industry forums.

Dr. Zawadzki received a BS in Public Health, summa cum laude, with a minor in Business from Tulane University, a MPH in Health Policy from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and a PhD in Health and Pharmaceutical Economics from the University of Southern California
