Response to the Draft Report of the Health Economics Methods Advisory (HEMA): “Defining Appropriate Benefits for Economic Evaluation of Health Care Technologies”

USC Schaeffer Center experts along with Jason Shafrin, Ph.D., from FTI Consulting’s Center for Healthcare Economics and Policy, submitted a response to the Health Economics Methods Advisory’s (HEMA) draft report  on economic evaluation methods for health technology assessment. HEMA, formed by leaders from ICER (US), NICE (England), and CDA-AMC (Canada), had requested comments on their review of treatment benefits in economic evaluations.
